Square Enix updated the special website for FFXIV: Endwalker with new information about the new dungeons, raids, and PvP content coming in Patch 6.0. The expansion is set to release in less than one month, on November 23, 2021.
In June 2021, a small amount of information regarding one of the FFXIV Endwalker raids–Myths of the Realm–was released. Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida stated that the content will feature an original story. The newly updated description reads:
Since time immemorial, a pantheon of gods known as the Twelve has presided over the land of Eorzea. Faith in these divine beings permeates all facets of life, and its influence is present in the practice of every craft, the heritage of each clan, and the customs of villages and nations across the realm. Now, the quest begins to discover how their tale began─and perhaps how it shall end.
The new High-end raid, Pandaemonium, also has a brief description. It stated:
Far beneath the ground upon which mortals tread, steeped in darkness deep as starless night, ancient power lies dormant. Too hungry, too brutal, too monstrous─what cannot be controlled must be contained, here, in Pandæmonium. Dare you make the descent?
While new Small-scale PvP content has also been announced, very little information is known about what this will entail. The website currently described the new experience as “a good introduction to PvP for casual players.” It also noted that there will be no role restrictions.
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker will officially release on November 23, 2021, with early access beginning November 19, 2021. Final Fantasy XIV is now available to play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The current free trial allows players to reach level 60 and play the entire Heavensward expansion with no cap on playtime.
