FFXIV Dawntrail Benchmark Appears With New Sweepstakes

Square Enix released the official benchmark for Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail. People who play the MMORPG on PCs can now check how their current devices can fare with the new expansion. This benchmark features the updated graphics that Square Enix will include in Patch 7.0 at the same time it releases the FFXIV: Dawntrail expansion in July 2024. Therefore, the game’s minimum system requirements will also see incrementing updates.

Square Enix previously set a minimum hard disk space of 80GB and memory of 4GB as of Endwalker. With the new Dawntrail expansion, it will increase both thresholds to 140GB and 8GB, respectively.

In addition, the update will raise the minimum CPU from Intel Core i5 2.4Ghz to i7-7700. The graphics card requirement will also increase from GeForce GTX 750 / Radeon R7 260X to GeForce GTX970 (4GB) / Radeon RX 480.

To mark the new benchmark’s release, Square Enix has also launched a sweepstakes campaign. Existing FFXIV players can submit a screenshot via the social media X for a chance to win a prize.

To enter the sweepstakes, people will need to provide their existing character details and the preferred prize while including the hashtags #FFXIVSweepstakes and #DawntrailBenchmark in the same post. Square Enix will close the sweepstakes on April 22, 2024, and it will choose 1,500 winners at random.

Final Fantasy XIV is readily available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The benchmark for FFXIV: Dawntrail is now available for PCs, but the actual expansion will be available later on July 2, 2024. People who have pre-ordered the expansion will be able to get early access four days ahead on June 28, 2024.
