FFXIV Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) Mount Turns You Into Cloud of Darkness

During theLetter from the Producer Live 84, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida and Global Community Producer Toshio Murouchi revealed one of the rewards from The Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) Alliance Raid in FFXIV is a mount that turns players into the Cloud of Darkness. This also meant we got to see footage of the mount in action both during the showcase and on social media.

The Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) Alliance Raid won’t immediately be added in FFXIV on November 12, 2024, so we can’t earn the mount right away. 7.1 arrives on November 12, 2024, and this Alliance Raid debuts a week after patch 7.15. The expected launch date for it is December 24, 2024.

This wasn’t the only reward from the new Alliance Raid teased. Another mount from it appears to be a pillar that glows red, then disappears when you dismount. Some of the IL 730 gear from it also appeared, as Yoshida showed printed out images of the art for both.

Final Fantasy XIV and Dawntrail are available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and 7.1 arrives on November 12, 2024.
