Now that Final Fantasy XI is about to turn 19, Square Enix announced some upcoming events. In addition to the May 2021 version update continuing The Voracious Resurgence, it is going to offer a number of activities to bring people back. To be specific, there will be FFXI Return Home to Vana’diel and May 2021 Login Campaigns, as well as some 19th Vana’versary events.
First, the FFXI Return Home to Vana’diel Campaign will be held between May 14-24, 2021. Anyone who has been “cancelled” as of 11:59pm PT on May 11, 2021 can briefly play for free. They will have access to all new and old events recently added to the game until 11:59pm PT on May 24, 2021. The Assist Channel will also open.
This includes the May 2021 Login Campaign that offers a Red Raptor. As you log in, you earn points until June 2, 2021. People then can spend those on various items until June 9, 2021. One of the most notable items is the 500 point Red Raptor FFXI mount. However, there is also a Mog Kupon I-S1 for 100 points, a Cipher: Shantotto II for 300 points, and other items for higher point totals.
As for the FFXI Vana’versary event, two specifically have the anniversary in the name. One is Mandragora Mania, which has a Korrigan Pot reward, and another is an opportunity to buy Mog Bonanza Pearls for Nomad Mog Bonanza to get things like 22 new weapons. There will also be a chance to earn two or three times as many EXP and Capacity points between May 11-24, 2021 or get extra alter egos via Spring Alter Ego Extravaganza until May 31, 2021.
Final Fantasy XI is available on PCs. The FFXI Return Home to Vana’diel Campaign and Vana’versary events will start kicking off in May 2021.
