This is the HD version of Final Fantasy VII. Which shouldn’t feel too different, since that’s the port that’s been available for years on various systems. It also delivers on a promise Shinji Hashimoto made back at X019 in November 2019, which was that ten Final Fantasy games would be heading to Xbox Game Pass.

Here are all of the other games that will be joining FFVII on Xbox Game Pass in August 2020. Coincidentally, all of them will appear on August 6, 2020. It will be noted when ones will be available on both the console and PC versions of the service.

  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan (Xbox One)
  • Darksiders Genesis (Xbox One)
  • It Lurks Below (Xbox One and PC)
  • Trailmakers (Xbox One and PC)
  • Undermine (Xbox One and PC)
  • Xeno Crisis (Xbox One and PC)

Final Fantasy XV joined Xbox Game Pass back in February 2020.

Xbox Game Pass is $9.99 per month on the Xbox One, temporarily $4.99 per month on PCs, and $14.99 per month for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate that includes the Xbox One and PC versions and an Xbox Live Gold subscription.
