One of Square Enix’s worst kept secrets appeared at The Game Awards 2021. A FFVII Remake PC version is on the way. While hinted at for a while, due to various finds online, it is now confirmed. Also, as suspected by some of the leaks, FFVII Remake will show up on the Epic Games Store on December 16, 2021. This will be the Intergrade version.

Hints at a PC version of the RPG first showed up back in January 2020. Before the game launched on the PS4, people datamined its demo. In it, people found data suggesting PC-related details. Then in June 2021, Epic Games Store information hinted it could be heading there.
This falls in line with possible exclusivity arrangements. Its PS4 box art noted it would be an exclusive for a year. The final trailer for FFVII Remake Intergrade said it would be on the PS5 for six months before appearing anywhere else. This new release date falls in line with that.
It also makes yet another Square Enix exclusive on the Epic Games Store. NEO The World Ends with You and the PC versions of the Kingdom Hearts series are only available there.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is available on the PlayStation 4. FFVII Remake Intergrade, which includes the Yuffie INTERmission chapter, is available on the PlayStation 5. FFVII Remake will head to PCs via Epic Games Store on December 16, 2021.
