A new virtual 3D art gallery titled The Midgar Exhibition, featuring winning screenshots from the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade photo contest, has been unveiled. The contest, originally held in August 2021, saw more than 500 submissions. Square Enix chose 30 winning images. Fans can browse the screenshots in a virtual space as music from the game plays in the background. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]
Photo mode was first made available in the PlayStation 5 port, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. Square Enix chose five Intergrade art winners to receive a special prize. It placed these five in a special room inside the gallery.
Final Fantasy VII Remake quickly became one of the fastest-selling PlayStation 4 games, selling over 3.5 million copies in three days. The game sold over five million copies by August 2020.
