FFVII Rebirth The First Take Features Nobuo Uematsu, Loren Allred

Earlier in March 2024, Square Enix teased a The First Take Final Fantasy VII Rebirth appearance, and now the Loren Allred and Nobuo Uematsu full performance of the FFVII remake trilogy song “No Promises to Keep” is live. Allred sings, Uematsu plays the piano, and Uematsu’s band conTIKI offers support in the video

As a reminder, Nobuo Uematsu composed this Final Fantasy VII Rebirth theme song, with Allred performing it “in character” as Aerith as the theme song for the new FFVII game. People can hear it in-game at the Gold Saucer during a performance of Loveless

Here’s the full performance of “No Promises to Keep.” While this is a Japanese YouTube channel, Allred performs the English version of the song.

It isn’t uncommon for The First Take to feature songs from from games or anime series. The One Piece anime opening “We Are One” appeared on the channel. Naruto Shippuden’s theme song “Sign” showed up too. Even Hololive Vtuber Hoshimachi Suisei showed up there. She performed “Stellar Stellar” the first time, then returned with “Michizure.”

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available on the PS5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is available on the PS4, PS5, and PC.
