Square Enix announced that the FFVII Rebirth pre-load is now live. Pre-loading will allow those that pre-ordered the digital version of the game to start playing once it launches without having to wait for the download.
The file size for FFVII Rebirth will be approximately 145.7GB. Additionally, the post shared by the FFVII Remake X (formerly Twitter) official account states that the game will be playable at midnight on February 29, 2024. However, this post only refers to the Japanese time zone.
It is currently unclear whether the launch of FFVII Rebirth will be a global release in which the game will become playable at 12am on February 29 for each region separately, or if the game will become playable simultaneously worldwide after a certain time.
To pre-load FFVII Rebirth, simply head to the PlayStation Store from your PS5 and select the download option. Alternatively, you can access the Store from a web browser and indicate the game to download if your PS5 is on rest mode, or next time it’s turned on.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to the PS5 on February 29, 2024. A demo for the game is available. The game’s PS5 exclusivity arrangement expires on May 29, 2024. Final Fantasy VII Remake is immediately available on the PS4, PS5, and PC.
