People will have a new way to watch one of the installments in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. Pre-orders opened for the FFVII Advent Children Complete 4K UHD + Blu-Ray + Digital version. Amazon is already taking orders for the $30.99 movie. No release date is listed for it yet. [Thanks, Wario64!]
FFVII Advent Children first appeared in 2005 and involved many of the people behind the original game. It features a script by Kazushige Nojima and music from Nobuo Uematsu. The former worked on FFVII, Before Crisis: FFVII, Crisis Core: FFVII and FFVII Remake, and will be working on the forthcoming Ever Crisis and First Soldier. Tetsuya Nomura directed the film, while Yoshinori Kitase and Shinji Hashimoto produced it. It takes place two years after the events of the game and primarily follows Cloud, Tifa, Reno, Rude, Rufus. All five are at odds with the villainous Kadaj and his brothers Loz and Yazoo, who are searching for a remnant of their “mother,” Jenova.
In 2009, FFVII Advent Children Complete debuted. It added additional footage. (For example, more scenes involving the Turks appeared.) It also included a new animated OVA called On the Way to a Smile: Episode Denzel, which focuses on Denzel and Reeve.
FFVII Advent Children Complete 4K UHD + Blu-Ray + Digital is on the way. The original film is available on Blu-ray, DVD, and UMD.
