Cave have created a nice space for their shoot-em-ups on the iPhone, but other companies are publishing similar games on the platform, too. One of these is NG:Dev.Team, who recently released Fast Striker, a vertical shoot-em-up.

We’ve reported on Fast Striker before. NG:Dev.Team originally developed the game for the NeoGeo, then created an updated version for the Dreamcast as recently as last year. The iPhone version appears to contain the Dreamcast version’s content, as it includes the “Omake” mode, which is the Dreamcast version’s highest difficulty setting.

NG:Dev.Team say Fast Striker on iOS has 6 stages, 4 game modes, 40 CGI-animated enemies, 6 bosses, 3D scrolling backgrounds, 17 music tracks, and runs at 60 frames-per-second. The game is compatible with iPhone 3GS, and third-gen iPod Touches and upward.
