New Pokemon GO Galar Pokemon are about to appear in the game. Niantic announced it will begin rolling out more characters from the region on August 20, 2021. Some of the new Pokemon will just show up in the wild or via research. For example, you’ll find Falinks, Skwovet, and Wooloo in Pokemon GO in the wild and after completing Field Research. Skwovet and Wooloo can be evolved to Greedent and Dubwool if you collect enough candy. Falinks will also appear in raids between August 20, 2021 and September 1, 2021.

The Galarian forms of some characters will also appear more prominently. The 7km eggs will have those variations of Darumaka, Farfetch’d, Meowth, Ponyta, Slowpoke, Stunfisk, and Zigzagoon. The Galarian versions of Farfetch’d, Meowth, Stunfisk, and Weezing will show up in raids in August and September 2021 too. The shiny versions might also appear. You may also encounter characters like Galarian Darumaka in the wild.

As for Zacian and Zamazenta, they will show up in Pokemon GO raids. Hero of Many Battles Zacian will appear at 6pm local time on August 25, 2021 for a Raid Hour. Then, on August 30, 2021, the 6pm Raid Hour will feature Hero of Many Battles Zamazenta.

Here’s a Pokemon GO trailer going over the addition of Falinks, Skwovet, Wooloo, Zacian, and Zamazenta.

In addition, Pokemon GO Galar customization items will appear for avatars. Those will show up on August 19, 2021. Everyone will get the Gym Challenger Uniform for free. However, you will have to spend Coins to get the Dark-Type and Dragon-Type Sport Uniforms.

Pokemon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices, and the Galar event will be held August 20-31, 2021. The last major event in-game was July 2021’s Pokemon GO Fest.
