Evo Japan 2018 Registrations Are Now Open, And It Is Completely Free

Evolution Championship Series is going to Japan this January, and registration has recently gone live via Smash.gg. Sign-ups are free for the seven titles in the event’s lineup.

 

EVO Japan 2018’s lineup features Tekken 7, Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2, The King of Fighters XIV, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, ARMS, and Street Fighter V. All tournaments except Smash 4 and ARMS (no prize pools) will have a prize pool of 1 million yen, or roughly $9,000 USD. (

 

Participants will have until December 31, 2017 to register, and the event will be free for both participants and spectators, but its finals on day 3 will need a ticket to view at Akiba Square, and they’ll go on sale sometime in late October.
