Since new content usually arrives with the weekly reset, do bear in mind that the exact dates may vary depending on your region. For example, while the US servers reset on Tuesdays, the European servers reset early on Wednesdays.

When does the Nerub-ar Palace Raid unlock in WoW: The War Within?

The new raid will see players taking on the Nerubian Queen Ansurek deep in the city of Azj-Kahet, and launches at the start of Season 1 with Normal and Heroic difficulties. These difficulties will drop item level 597-606 and 610-619 gear respectively, though you’ll likely need around 585 item level to make good progress.

Those looking for a more casual experience will be able to clear the first 3 encounters via the Looking for Raid system from the start of Season 1 of WoW: The War Within, with the next three coming on September 17, 2024, and the final 2 unlocking on September 24, 2024. Those solely interested in the story can play through the final encounter in Story Mode starting from September 17, 2024.

Meanwhile, hardcore raiders will be able to get their teeth in to Mythic difficulty on the same date of September 17, 2024, where they will be getting their hands on 623-632 ilevel gear. Good luck!

When do Mythic and Mythic+ Dungeons unlock in WoW: The War Within?

WoW: The War Within Mythic difficulty dungeons, also known as Mythic 0, will arrive at the start of Season 1 on September 10, 2024. Mythic difficulty dungeons will drop ilevel 593 gear on par with the first bosses of the Normal difficulty raid. Some dungeon final bosses may even drop mounts at this level, too.

Mythic+ dungeons, a scaling higher difficulty mode that requires keystones, will unlock with the second wave of content on September 17, 2024. These will scale up to be the hardest 5-person content available and will eventually drop gear on par with Heroic raids.

You can find a video from Blizzard going over the new dungeon difficulties system below:

Mythic+ dungeons will be confined to a set selection of dungeons from throughout WoW‘s expansions. The dungeons for WoW: The War Within Season 1 will be:

  • Ara-Kara, City of Echoes
  • City of Threads
  • The Stonevault
  • The Dawnbreaker
  • Mists of Tirna Scithe ( fromShadowlands)
  • The Necrotic Wake (from Shadowlands)
  • Siege of Boralus (from Battle for Azeroth)
  • Grim Batol (from Cataclysm)

Mythic+ dungeons also have a few achievements associated with them, including one that unlocks a Diamond Mechsuit mount for reaching a rating of 2000 during the season.

When do higher level Delves unlock in WoW: The War Within?

Delves are a new feature in WoW: The War Within, but with the arrival of Season 1 they’re about to get a whole lot more lucrative. No longer will players be stuck to level 3 delves at maximum, instead being able to get up to tier 11 difficulties with the commensurate rewards. To unlock higher difficulties, players will need to complete the previous tier without dying too many times. There will also be achievements with special rewards, including a full transformation for the Delver’s Dirigible mount for beating Zek’vir solo on tier 5. Like with Mythic+ achievements, these will disappear when the season ends.
