Estinien Comes Alive in Final Fantasy XIV Live-Action Commercial

Final Fantasy XIV invades the real world with three live-action commercials advertising its free trial. The Dragoon, Black Mage, and Dark Knight classes are featured. Even the brusque Estinien joins in a gaming session in one of the videos.

In the commercials, a woman convinces her friends to try out the Final Fantasy XIV free trial with promises of fun and glory. In a Final Fantasy XIV trial, players can play until their character is level 60, as well as go through content up to Heavensward, which is the first expansion pack, without having to pay for a subscription. While the free trial locks out certain content, such as Free Companies and auction participation, it is still way to sample some of the world of Final Fantasy XIV.

The commercials are available on the official Final Fantasy XIV YouTube channel:

This ad involves the Dark Knight.

The last of the three looks at the Black Mage.

First launched in 2010, Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida later overhauled Final Fantasy XIV and re-launched it as A Realm Reborn in 2013. It is one of the most popular and successful MMORPGs and, in an interview, Yoshi-P suggested it may never end.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on the PC and PlayStation 4. The open beta for the PS5 version will go live on April 15, 2021.
