Disney Interactive set November 30 as the release date for Epic Mickey, an upcoming Wii game where Mickey explores a cartoon wasteland with forgotten Disney characters like Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
Junction Point Studios subtly added moral choices in Epic Mickey with their playstyle matters system. One example from the PAX Prime demo was to take a treasure chest full of E tickets or to save a caged gremlin. The story changes depending on what choices players make.
“I believe that video games tell stories as deep and as sophisticated as movies, books or any other medium. In Disney Epic Mickey, Mickey Mouse is faced with challenges worthy of a hero, while the players’ actions and their decisions throughout the game alter the gameworld,” said Warren Spector, general manager and creative director of Junction Point Studios.
