If you ever wanted to make your own story with Final Fantasy characters take a look at Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy. Square Enix included a quest maker that lets players set the location, background music, battles, and even write a storyline.

 

Quests can be shared online, but players will need to exchange friend cards before they can give each other Aerith resurrection fanfics.
