Elden Ring: Nightreign Is a New, Multiplayer Spin-off Game

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware announced a new Elden Ring stand-alone, spin-off game with multiplayer co-op called Elden Ring: Nightreign at The Game Awards 2024. We see a shadow come over the lands, with a mysterious heroine saying that our help is needed to fight back against horrors and massive opponents. 

Multiple gameplay footage segments come up throughout the first Elden Ring: Nightreign footage. Initially, it focuses on locations seen throughout The Lands Between. We see as darkness spreads, changing appearances of familiar places. Then, we start to see people starting to come together to fight back. While there are segments in which people battle one on one with massive opponents, many of them involve people coming together.

This is one of many types of Elden Ring spin-offs to appear after launch. One of the other notable ones is a manga. Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree is actually a gag manga with unusual and unexpected takes on familiar situations from the series.

Elden Ring: Nightreign will come to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2025. Elden Ring is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is also available now.
