Elden Ring Deadly Poison Spray No Longer Inflicts Death After Patch

It’ll be a little easier to avoid death in certain situations in Elden Ring, as the new patch fixed a Deadly Poison Spray effect and kept Red Bear from dealing more damage than FromSoftware intended. Both are a part of six bug fixes in the 1.13.2 update.

In the case of Deadly Poison Spray, it was a Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Skill in Elden Ring that you got via the Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle. It was only supposed to inflict Deadly Poison. However, it ended up also inflicting death ahead of the update.

As for Red Bear, that’s an Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Great Enemy Boss. You might have encountered this foe, but since it is an optional fight it is possible you didn’t happen upon the instance. The issue ahead of the patch is that the enemy was stronger than it was supposed to be.

The list of bug fixes in the Elden Ring patch also included one that we might be a little less welcome. The Scadu Altus area experienced some multiplayer issues prior to 1.13.2. The bad part of the bug kept people from invading sometimes. The part some may have taken advantage of involved co-op being allowed even without an area boss around.

Here are all of the Elden Ring bug fixes in the patch notes for 1.13.2 from the official site.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug which caused the Death status ailment from the Skill “Death Flare” to be applied to the Skill “Deadly Poison Spray”.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the power of some attacks used by the NPC “Red Bear” to be higher than intended.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from invading other players’ worlds in some areas of Scadu Altus under certain circumstances.
