Bandai Namco released the patch notes for Elden Ring version 1.12, which released on June 20, 2024. The patch adds support for the new Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, as well as quality of life features and weapon rebalancing.
Some of the additions include changes to the summoning system, including carrying over summoning pools to New Game+ mode and tweaks to when they appear in the Mohgwyn Palace area. There are also a few new hairstyles to try out and newly obtained items will contain an ! symbol to mark them in the inventory. The Elden Beast, a late game enounter, has also been changed to allow summoning your mount for easier traversal around the large arena. And then finally there are the weapon rebalances, which include both changes to specific weapons and tweaks to the stamina cost, speed, and poise damage of particular weapon archetypes.
Earlier this month, FromSoftware asked players to be mindful of spoilers ahead of the launch of the new expansion. The company also recently celebrated the game passing 25 million in sales with a new Story Catch-up trailer.
Elden Ring Patch 1.12 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The Shadow of the Erdtree Expansion will launch on June 21, 2024.
