“[El Shaddai Steam version progress report]
It is currently in development, but I believe some would like to know about its progress, so I’ll write about its progress here and there.
By the way, since we’re changing platforms from PS3 and Xbox to PC, we’re making a launcher that also has the option to switch between English and Japanese audio and subtitles.”
Sawaki Takeyasu currently runs his own development company called Crim, who will release the PC version of El Shaddai. He previously worked as a character designer at Capcom on titles like Devil May Cry and Okami. He also did mecha designs for the Steel Battalion games on the Xbox. Crim previously released the 2017 RPG The Lost Child, which was based on the mythos of El Shaddai.
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron was originally released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan in April 2011. A North American release followed in August 2011, and then it appeared in Europe in September 2011. It is currently in development for PCs and will release via Steam.
