The developers of Edge of Eternity have released a Spring update on the game’s Kickstarter page, offering some new artwork, music, story, and hint that a release date is in the coming months.
Some of the released artwork is concepts for new plant life, meant to give the game a more sci-fi feel that’s appropriate to its futuristic setting. Further artwork shows some of the character dialogue faceplates that will show up in conversation, adding a detailed 2D touch on top of the game’s 3D style.
The update also comes with a tease for some of the game’s dialogue, as well as Edge of Eternity’s Battle Theme, recorded by Yasunori Mitsuda with the Bratislava orchestra.
The developer has also released a statement on a potential release window, although it offers nothing concrete: “We know you all expect more information on a release date. We are not going to make promises we are not sure we can commit to. We can promise Edge of Eternity will be available in a few months. When exactly, that we cannot say for the moment. We do have clear internal plans, but this will be for another update!”
To continue to stay up-to-date on the sci-fi JRPG’s development, players can follow the game’s Facebook page.
