EarthBound’s Debug Menus Are Now In English

In EarthBound, it has long been possible to access the debug menus by using Game Genie codes. You could then use the ATM Card to access the “secret” tools. The problem is, they weren’t properly translated from Japanese into English. “Party Members” was “P-TiNStTI,” as an example. However, vince94 has released an improvement patch that translates the EarthBound debug menus.

This EarthBound fix covers every debug menu option, so you don’t have to worry about doing something that messes up your game’s save file. You can make the game easier for yourself, by altering levels, giving Ness more money, and improving your inventory. Also, you could even just enjoy the music, because EarthBound has a wonderful soundtrack. Conversely, you could make things more difficult by adding status ailments all the time.
