Earth Defense Force 6 Announced and Set to Invade in 2021

D3 Publisher announced Earth Defense Force 6 as the latest entry from the series set to launch in 2021.

The information comes from a new teaser website for the new game. The website shows the top image that says “coming in 2021” along with the game’s first screenshots.

So far, we don’t have any additional info from the website or D3 Publisher, but we’ll likely get some new information very soon in the coming days.

The last release from the series was the spinoff title Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain which released simultaneously worldwide in April 2019. The game also released for PC via Steam in October 2019. It was developed by Yuke’s and published by D3 Publisher.

The last main-numbered Earth Defense Force game was the Sandlot-developed Earth Defense Force, 5 which released for the PlayStation 4 in Japan in December 2017 and the rest of the world in December 2018. The game also released worldwide for PC via Steam in July 2019. EDF5 was the first game set in a new continuity with the Earth Defense Force as a private military corporation.

Earth Defense Force 6 is in development and set for release in 2021. D3 Publisher has yet to announce the platform(s).
