Earth Defense Force 2 Portable V2 for PlayStation Vita is coming to North America this Fall. Xseed will publish the game as Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders From Planet Space.

This game is a predecessor to Earth Defense Force 2017, and like other Earth Defense Force games, will have you fighting off an invasion of giant insects. It was originally released on the PlayStation 2, then on the PSP, and was finally ported to the Vita.

Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders From Planet Space will allow for 4-player online co-op, and will be published with a new English dub. Xseed say the game will be released both at retail and digitally.
