E3 2021 App and Portal Will Include Leaderboards and Virtual Booths

The ESA offered details on what people can expect from the virtual E3 2021 experience when using the app or portal site. In addition to expected opportunities to watch streams and talk in forums, there will be other elements. For example, companies will have virtual booths. The event will also involve gamification and leaderboards. The E3 2021 hubs will offer access to special activities on June 12, 2021.

The virtual booth experience will be designed to offer each company participating a dedicated space. When you go to its section, you will be able to see details about games. This could include video footage.

However, the ESA didn’t explain how the “gamified show elements” will work in the E3 2021 app or portal. Apparently, there will be some reward system for virtually attending. When people do, they’ll get points that place them on a leaderboard. (Everyone will be able to make their own profile.) It is unknown if there will be any prizes or physical rewards for placing on the leaderboard.

E3 2021 will be held June 12-15, 2021, with people able to access it via the app or site portal. There will also be content available on its Twitch and YouTube accounts.
