Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers is a strategic affair. It’ll introduce some gameplay elements that may be unfamiliar to fans of the series, which will work alongside returning concepts. To help people prepare, Koei Tecmo has released information on Synchro Mode, Lixia’s Orbs, and the Path of Destiny features found within the game.
Synchro Mode occurs when someone is successfully carrying out strategies on the battlefield. As you defeat enemies, either by facing them head-on, flanking them, or attacking from the back, you’ll eventually up Synchro Charge. When Synchro Mode is enabled, you’ll be able to have units carry out more powerful attacks.
Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers’ Lixia Orbs are the orbs which hold Lixia’s abilities. As you go through the campaign, you’ll collect new orbs, which can allow you to unleash stronger attacks in the field. For example, flooding enemy strongholds and bringing fire down on the battlefield are two potential attacks.
The Path of Destiny found in Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers may seem familiar, as it offers an opportunity to get closer to your allies. This is a concept not uncommon in Dynasty Warriors games. You’ll be able to engage in conversations with other characters in episodes, unlocked by battlefield encounters. Once you talk it out with another character, you could earn new battles, characters, or resources.
Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers will come to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in North America on January 31, 2017. It will arrive in Europe on February 1, 2017. People who purchase the game within the first month its released will receive a Diaochain costume for Lixia and outfits with fox ears and tails for Guan Yinping and Lu Lingqi.
