On October 17, 2024, Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 received an update that gives players on all platform access to Performance Mode and Graphics mode in their display options. Players now have the choice of what they want to prioritize on their preferred system, on either console or PC.
In a post on Twitter, Capcom detailed the patch, and broke down what each mode will offer players of Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Dragon’s Dogma 2‘s Performance Mode prioritizes framerate and will allow players to maintain 50-60 FPS on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X during gameplay. Xbox Series S’ performance mode will hit 35-40 FPS and Steam will vary depending on the individual specs of players’ PCs. The resolution during Performance mode will be a 2160p output resolution and a 1728p rendering resolution on PS5 and Xbox Series X, while the Xbox Series S will feature a 2160p output resolution and a 1440p rendering resolution. Similarly, Steam will allow for variable results depending on the PC specifications.
Graphics Mode will focus on higher fidelity at 2160p rendering and output resolutions on both PS5 and Xbox Series X. The Xbox Series S will stay at a 2160p output and a 1440p rendering resolution. Specs for the Steam version’s Graphic Mode prioritization will depend on the PC build.
This update follows a number of recent updates to the game including one on October 4, 2024 that fixed some small bugs, and one on September 17, 2024 which added a number of quality of life features, new gear in the Sovran’s Armor, additional idle animations for the player and NPCs in various situations, and a Casual Mode difficulty.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is available now for PS5, Xbox Series S/X and Steam.
