Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest VII is releasing for smartphone in Japan on September 17, 2015, and it’ll go for 1,800 yen. 4Gamer shares a look at some of its screenshots.

Dragon Quest VII uses the 3DS version as a base and it features random encounters instead of symbol encounters as in the 3DS version. The smartphone version of Dragon Quest VII is also optimized for smartphone and has various other features.
