According to leaker ryokutya2089, the second part of the manga Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – The Hero Avan and The Hellfire Dark Lord will be the Teacher or Tutor Arc. Since Avan appears as a hero tutor in the original Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai manga, the new arc might show how he came to be a tutor after the defeat of the Dark Lord Hadlar by his party.
Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken – Yuusha Avan to Gokuen no Maou (or Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – The Hero Avan and The Hellfire Dark Lord in English) is a prequel to the original Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai set 15 years prior to the events of the original manga. The prequel focuses on the defeat of the Dark Lord by the hero Avan and his party.
The prequel manga started serialization in September 21, 2020 in the V Jump magazine to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original manga, and ahead of the release of the Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai new anime series in October 3, 2020.
Additionally, a video game adaptation retelling the manga and anime series titled Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai released in October 13, 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
