Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai: A Hero’s Bond will end service on April 26, 2023. Square Enix released a statement, revealing why it has chosen to terminate service for the mobile game. The answer is relatively simple. It is due to the developers feeling as though they cannot continue to provide the same “standard” of content for the title in the future. Hence, the reason for the game ending service in late April 2023.
Additionally, the developers thanked the players for their time with the game. An end of service roadmap was also shared through the official website. This included mention of premium currencies being delisted from the in-game store. The automatic renewal of the Gold Pass will also end effectively immediately on January 29, 2023.
However, Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai: A Hero’s Bond will still receive some content updates before it shuts down. Updates that will appear in the game will include the final chapters of both Dragon Tracks and the Bonding Journey. A Treasure Hunt will also appear, which will include previously available seasonal exclusive content, equipment, and more.
Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai: A Hero’s Bond released worldwide Android and iOS in September 2021, and will end service on April 27, 2023.
