A Dragon Quest Tact English localization will appear outside Japan. Which is something we sort of gathered would happen, given in August 2020 some European and U.S. trademarks appeared. Now Square Enix confirmed it on Twitter and shared the Google Play product page for the game.

As for Dragon Quest Tact, it is a strategic game where your army is made up of monsters from the Dragon Quest series. Like Fire Emblem Heroes, you’ll be on grid-based maps. However, here you might recruit a monster after a fight and you also will find yourself needing to equip them for the battles ahead.
Here’s the Dragon Quest Tact English trailer, which offers a CG take on the whole experience. No, that’s not actual gameplay. However, you will be taking turns and sending the characters in your army off to fight in that sort of fashion.
Dragon Quest Tact is available for Android and Apple iOS devices in Japan since July 2020. The global version is on the way, though it doesn’t have a release date just yet.
