This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Slime a little teapot… literally. A goolorious Dragon Quest slime teapot was being sold in Japan. It was showing up in the Square Enix e-Store for 2,750円 (~$25).  [Thanks, Game Watch!]

As pointed out on Twitter by Ryota Aomi, the producer of Dragon Quest games like Dragon Quest XI, , this isn’t the first time the Dragon Quest slime teapot has appeared. A brown version launched back in 2019 as part of a collaboration with the tea company Ito En. Occasionally, eBay listings for the limited edition item even appear online.

The new version of the Dragon Quest slime teapot is a blue ceramic teapot with the slime’s face on it. It comes with a lid and a stainless steel tea strainer. If you turn it upside down (when it is empty, please), you can see a slime mark on the bottom.

Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of people want to turn tea time into slime time. Aomi also pointed out on Twitter the Dragon Quest slime teapot sold out at the Square Enix e-Store on April 7, 2020.

The teapot will be shipping out in May 2020. It has not been announced if it will eventually show up in the Square Enix Store in other regions.
