On February 26th, Square Enix released Dragon Quest Heroes in Japan, and the game sold 594,749 copies, with 325,446 sold on PS3 and another 269,303 on PS4.

Japanese sales tracker Media Create reports that the PlayStation 3 version of the game sold through 92.25% of its shipment, while the PlayStation 4 version sold through 89.89%, meaning both versions were likely sold out at several retailers.

As we said in our sales column last week, Dragon Quest Heroes saw the second-highest launch sales of any Warriors game in recent years. It should be interesting to see where the game’s sales end up a year from now, especially in comparison to other Dragon Quest spin-offs like the Dragon Quest Monsters games, which are million-sellers.
