A few days ago, we learned that Goku would get to do some Dragon Ball collecting in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Now, we know exactly what that looks like. Bandai Namco has released an array of screenshots showing Goku on the hunt for the sacred relics, using them to summon Shenron, and then reviving old enemies as his wish.
As is tradition, seven Dragon Balls will be hidden in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. If players find them, they can ask Shenron to revive old enemies. In the newly released screenshots, Cell and Frieza in his first and fourth forms were shown. You then get to see different fights and conversations between characters, especially if an opponent hadn’t seen Goku in certain transformations before. Fighting and defeating them gives you Community Board Soul Emblems to give Goku new abilities.
Previous Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot screenshots showed Kame House and Kami’s Lookout.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will come to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Japan on January 16, 2020. It will arrive on both consoles and the PC in North America and Europe in 2020.
