Dragon Ball DS Sequel Extends Into February 2010

Namco Bandai is continuing the Phantom Hourglass-esque Dragon Ball series on the Nintendo DS with Dragon Ball DS 2 Assault! Red Ribbon Army.

This game takes place during the Red Ribbon Army arc where you guide Goku with the stylus. Players can punch enemies by pressing buttons or poking them and use Goku’s telescopic pole to rod to hit a group.

Did you notice Goku’s other outfit? Dragon Ball DS 2 has a stage dependent costume changing system and more traps like fire breathing dragon statues to evade. Dragon Ball DS 2 Assault! Red Ribbon Army is slated for February 11 in Japan. An international release has not been announced, but Namco Bandai, who now publishes the Dragon Ball games in North America, is keen on Dragon Ball so this has a good chance of being localized .
