Dr. Mario World shut down closing shutdown

Dr. Mario World Will Shut Down in November

After being open for over two years, Nintendo announced Dr. Mario World will shut down. The game’s last day will be October 31, 2021, with service ending on November 1, 2021. Ahead of that, Dr. Mario World diamond purchases will end on July 28, 2021. Nintendo didn’t offer an explanation for the shutdown in the official End of Service notice.

Dr. Mario World functions differently than the typical Dr. Mario games. In it, you need to solve puzzles by eliminating the viruses with medicine capsules. There are also competitive, PVP match ups. Each person uses a special doctor and assistants. Each doctor in the game has different special abilities, as do the assistants.

Since its launch, it’s become known for its unconventional alts of characters and choice of doctors. For example, Dr. Goomba Tower and Dr. Baby Wario are two of the more notable ones. The last one to join Dr. Mario World ahead of it closing was Dr. Petey Piranha in April 2021.

Nintendo said that there will be no offline mode after Dr. Mario World will shut down. It will instead open a Dr. Mario World Memories webpage with play history information.

Dr. Mario World is available for Android and Apple iOS devices, and it will shut down on November 1, 2021.
