Don’t Count On A New Darkstalkers Anytime Soon

While Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono exclaimed "Darkstalkers are not dead" before, it looks like The Night Warriors are going to be dormant for the time being. Event Hubs reports a Famitsu interview where Ono apologized that Capcom will not release a new installment in the Darkstalkers series anytime soon.

Ono explains the reason why is because sales targets were not met for Darkstalkers Resurrection, a HD compilation with Darkstalkers 3 and Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge developed by Iron Galaxy Studios. In the West, Darkstalkers Resurrection was released digitally on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. Japan got a retail release on PlayStation 3.
