With so many players jumping into Palworld at launch, many of them may wonder if the game includes PvP multiplayer. While the game can be played as a single-player experience, the inclusion of a multiplayer mode has players asking if they can battle friends and their Pals.
Does Palworld have a PvP mode?
The short is answer is: no, Palworld does not have PvP. The developers, Pocketpair, have mentioned this in an FAQ on their Steam page, addressing comments made by players. With the game released in Early Access, PvP is one of the currently unsupported features.
However, in the same FAQ, Pocketpair has confirmed that PvP will be arriving for the game at a later date. Various modes are being tested internally as the developers figure out how the feature would work best for the game. Because the feature is in development, Pocketpair currently has no news to share on its inclusion. They will provide updates when the feature is closer to completion, however.
What does Palworld’s Multiplayer include?
While there is no PvP available in Palworld at launch, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the game with friends. The game currently has a co-op multiplayer mode where you and up to three friends can jump into the world and catch Pals together. You can even invite friends into your single-player game by inviting them in at any time, although only the host can keep their main character by doing this.
In addition, players can set up dedicated servers which can hold up to 32 players in the same world. These servers will also allow players to set up their own guilds. However, setting up these dedicated servers is more complex than jumping into an official server.
Palworld is available now in Early Access for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
