Doctor Fate has appeared as Injustice 2’s latest character, and it appears he’s on Batman’s side. His introductory trailer sees him facing off against Superman. He notes that at one time, Superman was a symbol of hope. When Superman says he is now about bringing justice to the world, Doctor Fate says, “Justice is blind, not heartless.” From there, it goes on to show his standard and special attacks.

Doctor Fate joined the DC Comics cast of characters in 1940 and was part of the original Justice Society of America. He’s also been a member of the Justice League. The most recent Doctor Fate comic ran from June 2015 until November 2016 and followed an Egyptian-American medical student named Khalid Nassour who stepped into the hero’s shoes.
