DMC5 Special Edition Physical Copies Confirmed, Ray Tracing Shown

Capcom shared more and more Devil May Cry Special Edition news since its September 16, 2020 reveal. Now, there are even more announcements to appreciate. First, people can get it on a disc… eventually. DMC5 Special Edition physical copies will be released. We also have a video that shows its ray tracing in action.

There’s no release date for the physical copies yet. Capcom only confirmed that it does have plans to put the game on a disc. It just seems like the company is only ready to confirm this as a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X digital launch game for now.

As for the ray tracing, we’d already seen a quick sample of it. It just only happened with two screenshots showing a comparison between the same area with and without ray tracing right after the game was announced. Now, we have a more detailed video that offers an even better look at how the technology will change the way the game looks.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will come to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at launch in November 2020. That only applies to the digital versions, though. DMC5 Special Edition physical copies are coming, but Capcom didn’t share a release date or window for them yet.
