DJ Max Fever Delayed To Differentiate Itself

PM Studios planned to ship DJ Max Fever, their first game, sometime this month. Now, it’s being rescheduled for Q1 2009. Their plan is to make DJ Max Fever less like DJ Max Portable 2 and more like its own its own thing. The revised DJ Max Fever will have new gears (read: interfaces), upgrade items, a brand new game engine tentatively called “BS”, and more hidden content. In the long run, this is a smart move for PM Studios and Pentavision. While DJ Max Portable 2 was never released in North America it was a popular import. A unique DJ Max Fever would be better received by existing fans.

My copy of DJ Max Portable: Clazzquai Edition had a little flyer for DJ Max Portable: Black Square and it mentioned a new Bling interface. Perhaps, DJ Max Fever will be upgraded with it? Or maybe it’s getting an interface all of its own.
