Rampage Land Rankers is an RPG that will have you take on the role of an adventurer who is part of an adventurer’s guild called “Rankers Union” and explore dungeons. This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine shares more details on the game. [Thanks, Hachima]

Mitsunori Takashi, the director of the Dissidia Final Fantasy games on PSP, will take on the role of the director for Rampage Land Rankers, alongside Tetsuya Nomura as the main character designer.

The dungeons will have some sort of board game-like style to it, where players will use cards and travel the number of steps that are indicated on the cards.

Dungeons are automatically-generated, and there are treasure chests along with cards that can be used to win prizes from the rankings to make your avatar stronger. The cards found in treasure chests will give you random parameter increases, which adds a treasure hunting experience to the game.

During explorations, there will be a system that allows you to exchange information with other players to strategize. There’s also cooperation in combat. Players will also get to use extra cards to fuse them together and evolve of strengthen them.

Rampage Land Rankers is being developed by HexaDrive with Ichiro Hazama taking on the role as the producer. The game will launch in Japan this May for iPhone and Android.
