In total, a little over 5,500 people responded to this poll. The ages for the pollers ranged between ten and fifty, and people of all genders were allowed to give their answers. While Rankingoo’s website was looking for the top 40 Disney films, we will only give the top 10, along with some of the comments from voters.

  1. Frozen
“I love it! The music in it is great as well.”
  2. Beauty and the Beast
“I believe this is a masterpiece among the Disney films.”
  3. Toy Story
“I cry when I see how the kid in it grows up.”
  4. Aladdin
“I liked how cleverly the plot progressed, as well as the comedic elements.”
  5. Lion King series
“I watched this so many times.”
  6. Winnie the Pooh series
“My daughter loved this when she was young too.”
  7. Tangled
“There were a lot of memorable scenes. I also liked the underlying theme of breaking free from a parent’s gaslighting.”
  8. Finding Nemo
“I liked the fun story, since it could make you feel better and braver. It made an impression on me because I like tropical fish.”
  9. 101 Dalmations
“I remember it being very good, and the colors in it were very beautiful.”
  10. Coco
“It was the first time in a long time that I cried in theaters.”

Regardless of one’s personal opinion on Frozen, the movie proved a hit when it came out in 2013. It grossed over $1.280 billion worldwide and was the highest-grossing film when it came out. Due to the prevalence of the characters and especially Elsa’s “Let It Go” song, it was a pop culture phenomenon at the time. Aside from merchandise, it even appeared in games like MapleStory.
