NIS America announced that the demo for Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories is now live, finally letting the West test out a bit of this long-awaited sequel in this niche disaster survival series. The demo can be accessed via both Nintendo eShop for the Switch and PlayStation Store for PlayStation 4. The game is coming to PC as well, but it seems that there won’t be a demo available there.
In Disaster Report 4, players get to create and play through the game as an unnamed male or female protagonist who gets caught up in the giant earthquake that quite literally shatters their world. In their quest to leave the city, they’ll meet unique characters who are all dealing with the disaster in their own ways, and depending on your decisions, you might see different endings.
The series is also known for not taking itself too seriously, and this is the case in Disaster Report 4 as well despite its more grounded tone. Earlier this month, NIS America shared a trailer on the more silly conversation options and costumes you can wear in-game, and you can watch that here.
Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories is slated to release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 7, 2020. You can check out our playtest of the game here, as well as the playtest for the Japanese DLC post-story here.
