As previously reported, Digimon World Re:Digitize is making the hop over to the Nintendo 3DS in the form of Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode. This version is said to contain at least twice as much content as its previous incarnation, with more Digimon making appearances, two new story arcs, and added features. The balance of the game has also been readjusted.

The two story arcs are “Lament of the X-Antibody” and “Scheme of the Demon Lords”. Only information on the first has been released thus far. A report in Famitsu magazine reveals the general story is that the host computer, Yggdrasil, has started disseminating the X-Antibody to counter the foreign AI Vitium (also the main enemies in this game) that is destabilizing the Digital World.

In previous material, the X-Antibody serves to make the Digimon stronger than their previous forms. In Digimon World  Re:Digitize, some X-Antibody Digimon have already appeared like Yuuya’s BlackWarGreymon X, the WarGreymon X you can raise, and DORUmon, who appears at the Coliseum counter. New X-Antibody Digimon uncovered are Omegamon X and Dukemon X.

As for new features, two have been covered thus far. One is the Decode Level, which is a percentage that appears on your Digimon partner’s status screen. The higher the percent is, the greater a stat boost your Digimon gets. It is unclear if this value is reset when your Digimon reincarnates.

Another new feature is the Digitter, which allows you to know the happenings in the Digital World quickly from other Digimon, as well as the current status of your (human) friends and their partners.

Based on votes from buyers of the PSP game, a large number of Digimon were added, Famitsu reports. You can raise more than 160 Digimon, and including bosses, more than 200 unique Digimon appear in the game. The only new Digimon revealed so far is SaberLeomon.

Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode is set to release in 2013 on the Nintendo 3DS. The game is currently 80% complete. According to Famitsu’s figures, the game has sold sold 160,000 copies (download and hard copies) on the PSP to date.
