BlizzCon 2019 has begun, and with it comes the Diablo IV announcement people have been waiting for. Back in October 2019, an art book ad leaked the game’s announcement. Now, the game has been confirmed and its opening cinematic has been shared.

The Diablo IV opening movie is a substantial one, clocking in at over nine and a half minutes long. In it, people get an idea of what happens in this successor, which is set “many years after the events of Diablo III.” Apparently, millions were left dead. As a result, Lilith is once again at Sanctuary and things seem bleak for the world.

In addition, the official Diablo IV website is now open. The first three character classes, the Barbarian, Druid, and Sorceress, have been announced. The first is a melee class, the second uses spells, and the third is a warrior who can use spells and transform into a bear or werewolf. People can also sign up to be notified about future announcements.

Diablo IV is in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
