A classic is coming back. Blizzard announced Diablo II Resurrected for consoles and PCs at BlizzCon 2021. The official website is open, people can opt-in for a tech alpha, and pre-orders are open for this $39.99 revival. It will also offer cross-progression to allow someone to access their save file on any platform.
Diablo II Resurrected will be a complete remaster. People get the original game and Lord of Destruction expansion, and you can carry more loot in a larger stash. Everything is in 3D, rather than 2D, though the Legacy Toggle will let you play the original version again. There’s a new UI, to make things clearer to say. Cross-progression is a planned Battle.net feature. You can also connect to Battle.net for up to eight player co-op.
Here’s the first trailer for Diablo II Resurrected.
Blizzard is also selling a Diablo Prime Evil Collection. For $59.99, people get Diablo II Resurrected, Diablo III, and the Diablo III extras Reaper of Souls, Rise of the Necromancer, Mephisto, and Hatred’s Grasp. Diablo III and its add-ons are immediately doled out if someone would opt for that compilation.
Diablo II Remastered will be available to play on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2021.
