Devil’s Third Online Is Shutting Down For Wii U On December 29, 2016

Update: Nintendo made the announcement for the West as well. The online service for Devil’s Third will be discontinued on December 28, 2016. Golden Eggs will no longer be available starting June 27, and the digital version of Devil’s Third will be reduced from $59.99 to $29.99.

 

Nintendo announced today that starting December 29, 2016 service for Devil’s Third’s online features will shut down for good. The game made its debut on August 4, 2015.

 

The “Golden Eggs” used for the game’s micro-transactions will no longer be available for players to purchase starting June 27. Additionally, the game will be available for 50% in Japan starting June 24, going from 7,236 yen to 3,618 yen.

 

There’s no word on whether North American and European versions of the game will shut down as well, same goes for the PC version.
