Devil unleashed? Hell’s Kitchen becomes Cooking Mama’s competitor?

In a strange turn of events, cooking games are becoming ever so popular. Cooking Mama was never the only cooking game in town, but it was the first one to appeal to a mass market. Before Office Create developed the series two Japanese fast food chains, CoCo Ichibanya Curry House and Yoshinoya, released licensed titles on the Playstation 2.

All of the cooking games so far are linked together by cute characters, but that is about to change. Ludia, who made a Price is Right game, picked up the license to Hell’s Kitchen. They plan to release a game with Gordon Ramsay’s “intensity” (read: yelling at the player for not shaking the remote fast enough) in 2008 to concede with the fourth season of the TV show. It’s not just a PC deal either. Ludia plans to release a Hell’s Kitchen game for consoles and mobile phones. Will Gordon Ramsay slay Cooking Mama? Probably not. I just can’t imagine the Hell’s Kitchen game capturing the same carefree feel as the other virtual cooking options out there.

Also when is someone going to make an Iron Chef game or an In-N-Out burger game?
